Drive in Sci-Fi: The Mysterians (1957)

Once again we get a Japanese treat. something falls from the sky and kills all fish in the area and leaves a giant crater.
suddenly, giant robot attacks their cities destroying everything and they find out its actually alien origin. Alien dome emerges in the places of crater. They apparently want negotiate peace terms for part of land to live in. the aliens look like humans with sunglasses and orange helmets. they however dont appear to be very friendly. aliens tell humans how they destroyed thier own planet by nuclear war and live on Mars. now they want to live on earth too. they tell that if they dont agree earth is going to be destroyed. they are very precise, only 3 square kilometres of land of required. they also dont want earth to explore space so they dont advance. they also want our woman so they could repopulate their mentions. however they want specific woman and are abducting them. They only require 5 woman and whole earth is at hand. humans being humans decide to destroy aliens. or rather not destroy, go out with a bang. and all this is because things got personal due to fact that one of them are scientists girlfriend. or rather... two of them. but the fact that they kidnap them doesnt matter, whats the most important is that they want to mix the races. some racist xenophobia i see here.
some scientist however thing rational and suggest earth to comply. But, humans being humans, they attack anyway, even if they already know there is no chance they would do any damage. And they are right, they do no damage, meanwhile flying saucers kill their planes and tanks one by one.
Humans retreat to thier base to re-plan the attack. and this is where one of the wierdest lines i ahve ever heard come to play. when trying to pay out some sort of schematics one of the soldier asks general to raise his hands from the table so he could lay it down. the exact words he use is: "General, please levitate". Well they manage to talk other two superpowers - USA and Soviet Union (remember this is 1957) to unite with Japan against the Mysterians. They also figure out a new weakness - heat.and how are you going to deliver heat into a place that shoots gamma rays? they build a land-to-land vertical lift off plane. They deliver 3000 degrees of heat on the dome but to no avail either.
they want to retort to using nuclear bombs but americans discover a new machine that allows humans to copy and withstand Mysterians gamma rays. They make the machine and after a long struggle they manage to assault them. One of the scientist that were taken over by Mysterians manage to destroy the base but not before giving long anti-war speech. though it does look more like humans made the station go boom on their own without inside help.

Story: 6/10. pretty good.
Acting: 3/10. bellow normal.
Sound: 2/10. usually awful.
Sci factor: 8/10. they were pretty good on that.
Lasting Appeal: 6/10. strong anti war message. good tension. it works.
Overall rating: 5/10.
