Drive-In Sci-Fi: Earth VS The Spider (1958)

Once again we are up against big spider. A girl and her boyfriend sets out to search for her father that went to sprigfield and didn't come back. they find a huge lass stretched across the highway. They find his wrecked car near a cave that is believed to kill people. the boyfriend goes into the cave to search for the dad and the girl follows. Instead they find people skeletons in cave. They decide to continue searching. Ten the spider comes in but they manage to run away. The Sheriff doesn't believe them, so they go to school teacher. The teacher talks the Sheriff take a look into it.
They find a bunch of corpses, a Web and a dead father. Spray it all with DDT (the fathers corpse is being carried out, others they ignore, who cares about dead people right). The spider comes to defend its web and kills a officer before DDT takes it over and kills it. They bring the dead body into school gymnasium and try to sell it to university. But the local rock band decide to attempt to make a rehearsal for the ball dance in same gymnasium. thier music however is loud enough to wake the dead. The spider awakes and wrecks havoc. It takes a stroll on city streets ignoring everyone shooting at him. It tries to eat someone but doesnt succeed.
It returns to its cave but the couple is also in there. the police blows up the entrance and traps them in, so they have to dig it out again and help them. eventually they and and blow the hole up gain, burying the spider.

Story: 4/10. very generic.
Acting: 3/10. not extremely terrible but not too good either.
Sound: 1/10. terrible.
Sci factor: 7/10. well zoology was fine, the rest, well, it wasnt there.
Lasting Appeal: 0/10. wont remember another giant spider movie.
Overall rating: 3/10.
