Drive-In Sci-Fi: The Hideous Sun Demon (1959) Hideoussundemonposter01

The movie begins with leak in atomic plan and medics (without any safety gear) escaping. Yay another "atomic radiation made monster". oh wait apperently doctors call it "solar radiation". the doctor that takes care of Doctor Makena seems to have the mood swings of Steaven Seagul. whatever they tell him he has this blank tired face. Apperently the poor doctor was exposed to radiation caused by new isotope for 6 minutes and didnt get burnt, jut got unconciuos. i smell another colossal man.... they also treat him like hes about to die, wheelchear and all. He gets into sun and boom, hes a monster. Aperently the bored doctor instantly figures out that he reacted due to sun and he "evolved backwards".
As long as hes away from sun hes ok so he goes on living, at nights. but we cna see tendencies of him slowly going mad. He almost suicides but some kids playing in the middle of the night, at the beach, saves him. so he goes to get drunk instead, typical. why do miserable people must make thier life even more miserable by getting dead drunk?
Appernetly at the bar he meets a girl, beats up her husband and goes on a night ride with her. He wants to get more intimate but that ends up with here falling into water so she undresses then. they spend a ngiht together and he wakes up whne sun is high already, though he manadges to drive all the way home. his wife chaes him ack into the house but he manadges to convert back fast. the husband of that woman returns with a gun and forces him to take a ride with him. obviuosly in sun he turned to reptile and kileld him. then went runing though whole neighboarhood while comign home once again meeting wife and doctor. he is panicking till somone knocks on the door. Apperently its police who came to arrest him. he runs away while runing over oen of the cops.
he hides in a shed and child tries to help him but her mother turtures her child to tell her about it and the calls police witohut even knowing what they have. then he grabs the child and makes a run for it, WITH THE CHILD. As the officers chase him he kills them, he seems to also regenerate from bullets. well either that or officers shoot into the air isntead of him. the costume is pretty hood though. so no wonder they did not want to ruin it. afterall they will use same exact costume in at least 3 other movies anyway. Eventually the reptile falls from water tower, and thats about it.

Story: 3/10. another radiation made human a monster story.
Acting: 3/10. main characters were pretty decent, but the doctor who looked like hes about to fall asleep didnt fit at all.
Sound: 1/10. Your typical loud music for everything. this is getting boring tbh.
Sci factor: 2/10. from the overuseda tomic power to children telling people its good to be in the sun all day because it cures flu the science in this flick was flawed.
Lasting Appeal: 1/10. well, no. there was no demon, nor was anyone hideous, well maybe the monther in the end was but thats about it. the only word from the title that has something to do with the plot is world "sun"
Overall rating: 2/10.
