Drive-in Sci-Fi: The Amazing Transparent Man (1960) Amazingtransparentmanpo

So the film is called "The amazing transparent man". anyone remmeber The Invisible Man (1933)? Well this isnt that far off. Excelt this time the scientist doesnt discover it on its own but rather is forced to it by delusional seargant. The seargant also breakes out a safecracked to help him steal more radium, because this time it is radiation that helps men become invisible. The whole breakout procedure and runing from cops is done quite elaborately by these times standarts. so its off on a good foot. talks him into stealing the stuff and then provides him with demonstration to become invisible, or rather the doctor is forced to provide it. the thief is smart and see to it to question the doctor alone. doctor confirms that hes held against his will by threatening his daugter but thats about all till they get discovered. he once againt gets smart and strikes a deal with the woman. but that doesnt work as they get discovered.
Eventually they get around turning him invisible. While invisible he mandges to raise his own salary 25 fold and then sitll goes to work for the guy. He beats up a guard, opens the safe and steals the radium. radium however does not turn invisible, so you see a floating can walking around the place. noone bothers to care about it.
At his second heist he decides to take a hit at the bank but turns visible during the operation. he sitll gets away with money however the police is coming and the general is ready to kill him. he manadges to lock general in a cell and then has a nice chat with doctor, tells the truth to whole family and helps them all escape. well all but the woman, as the general shoots her. then he pours acid on Faust and turns on the nuclear reaction. however faust wont let him get to bunker and they both go nuclear.
well not exactly The Invisible man afterall. not that bad either. we later see security coming in and it looks like the house imploded. then we get a moral speech from the doc and there it ends.

Story: 6/10. Simple but not bad.
Acting: 6/10. Have to say exeded what i was expecting.
Sound: 3/10. That is a downfall of many movies back then, however this had less of the nasty soundtract and tuhs it gets towards 3.
Sci factor: 7/10. Pretty decent i have to say. The doctor showed the way to become invisible and he did it with quite some knowledge, even though not real still it is a good science factor here.
Lasting Appeal: 4/10. Dont think ill remmeber it for long, but long enough to write a review hehe.
Overall rating: 5/10.
