Drive in Sci Fi: The Secret Of Telegian (1960) Secret_of_Telegian_1960

a citiy fair is ruined by a murder inside the festivities. Then it gets investigated but nothing is found as far as we are told. A reported who usually writes for science section is also investigating. turns out one of the officers was his highschool friend so we exchange information, though neither knows anything of value.
Nafia seems to spy at them, and they dont like it. but they cant find anything bad about it, nor they want to show their hand, so its a cold war if anything. The good guys refer to mafia as "smugglers" though. The dead guy was part of the mafia, and they discuss who could have done that. they seem worried.
They get a tape, where a man named Tsudo claims they tried to kill him and now he came for revenge with some secret weapon. They were in same fighting unit in the past apperently. he refers to them in ranks.\Then he shows up to them... as a hologram. However his hologram can affect other people like if it were a material object. They try to shoot him but he takes no damage. isntead he jumps out of the window and runs away. Instead of getting to one of his targets he then carries away some innocent woman.
the police enters the mafia building to question them about the shots they heard and the mafia guys tell the whole story how they killed the guy the night of Japan surrender. They tried to steal some medical research, but Tsudo tried to do the right thing and lock them up. they stabbed him dead. This triggered reaction that blew up the cave and research they tried to steal. They however though it was gold. so they went back but the guy and the gold has dissapeared.
Some doctor explains very simply how this is "teleport telekinesis" that "advanced yogis" in india knew how to do naturally. supposedly inteinsifying it electrically makes this guy a real hologram.
They follow the lead of refrigeration units because well that machine would need many, its obviuos, wemuch check every refrigeration order in tokyo. meanwhile the killer is more talk than walk. he sends notes tleling people when they will die.
Eventually we get around to him killing the second guy and runing from police in benny hill level of chase scene, with similar music none the less. They search the nearby docks, but they find nothing so "job done lets go home guys" happens. The other policeman doesnt have much luc keithe.r they got a suspect, but thats it.
The hunch is followed though, and the lab is discovered. it is as expected the guy taking revenge by teleported telekinesis. The doctor who invented it helps the police, he got no quarrel with them, but he killer escapes.
Later that night he kills the doctor, takes over the machine and comes after the last guy. The doctor manages to surive the attack, however the guy is coming to kill the last murderer. He does that adn evades police again. Meanwhile volcanic eruption is destroying the lab and the guy dies with it.

Story: 7/10. the story was though out well enough.
Acting: 5/10. average, but not that terrible.
Sound: 4/10. pretty bad, btu still not the american counterpart.
Sci factor: 3/10. surviving explosion and stab wound then teleporting telekinesis with machines without the ivnentor knowing it. wow.
Lasting Appeal: 5/10. well this is definatelly unque.
Overall rating: 5.
