Drive in Sci-Fi: Cat Women Of The Moon (1953) Catwomenofthemoonmoviep

A scientific rocket is sent into space at 7 miles per second. but soon it has trouble with a meteor which almost breaks their ignition chamber. one guy sacrifices himself to fix the problem. they manage to save him though. a guy that dropped unconscious from radiation poisoning just wakes up and flirts with the girl on the ship.
They land on the dark side of the moon. when navigator gets asked why she obviously makes a lie about it and acts as if shes hiding something. She is also the only one taking cigarettes to the moon even though others point out there is no atmosphere in there. other guy got a sign saying "los angeles city limits here". what a strange crew. They come across the border of the bright side of the moon. to test its hotness they use one of the cigarettes and throw it there. it catches fire instantly. even though they themselves pointed out it cant catch fire without oxygen. awesome. They find a cave that has oxygen in it and proves it by burning a match. well the cigarette also burn where there was no oxygen Very Happy awesome logic. so what they do is get undressed in the cave, yeah cause keeping the costumes but breathing local air is out of the question. and also breathing the air cant be toxic right? absolutely 0 self preservation. One of the guy worries about local inhabitants and brings a pistol. why bring a pistol to the moon. but they quickly find a use. they see a GIANT spider that looks so fake even i could do better. you can see strings attached to it. It just floats in midspace.
During this encounter thier spacesuits are stolen. so yeah they pay the price for their stupidity. what they do is go deeper into the cave. they find a cave opening that has clouds and a castle. clouds inside a cave, yay. the castle look something like a Buddhist stupa mixed with Greek temple. They get attacked by a woman in black clothes. the guy attacked couldnt recognize the "creature". awesome. So what they do is spread out. yeah because a guy who wandered off alone just got attacked its a good idea to slit up. They catch one woman and she disappears into nothing.
The woman has find out what's going on. there was a nation in there, and as oxygen started to run out they made a massive genocide to reduce the usage, instead of, say, lighting up less fires? that has led to the group of woman only ones surviving. they eventually meet eachother, but the woman in black clothes (i still see absolutely no resemblance of cats in them) has an agenda to go to earth and leave the men behind. The woman lure them with various trickery to get into the spaceship and find out how its controlled. one of the men however keeps trying to start a war with them. he manages to snap the earth girl out of the control of locals. she warns him but then snaps back into it so everyone can be a liar now. During the night the girls pick them one by one and start killing them. However one of them falls in love with earth man so they start to fight internally too.
Then its a race to who gets to ship first, the humans do and run away from them.

Story: 4/10. rather weak and we saw it all before.
Acting: 2/10. the ritual dance of black dressed women is hilarious.
Sound: 1/10. nothing good in this department either.
Sci factor: 3/10. cigarette going up in flames without atmosphere. great.
Lasting Appeal: 1/10. i wanted cat women, i saw no cats.
Overall rating: 2/10.
