Drive in Sci-Fi: The Thing (From Another World) (1951) Thething1951poster

Yeah, its THAT movie. we start with a view of alaska. a bunch of people in military base meet a reporter.
they get called to a research base on urgen problem. but some seems to hve their own agenda. At the base they found out they tracked some thing land in the ice and go investigate. it looks like a huge spaceship hit the ice and went under it. they assume its a flying saucer, yay. theres a fang sticking out and they realize this isnt a metla known to man. they think ice is too think so they take termite bombs to do the job. they explode ice on top of a spacecraft, no worries that it may destroy the ship or anything.
The bombs wake up the ship after multiple explosions. Thet bring part of the ship - its pilot - back to their bunker. they argue about sending messadge to the general and send info that aircraft is destroyed by the thermite bombs (hey at least those bomb usage lead to logical conclusion) but they saved passenger. This is probably the first movie where ther are at least 4 peopel talking at same time when in discussion. looks like if its sound mashed on on another. is it bad release of this is how its filmed?...
The only girl in station goes to drink with the local captain and they evne get such things as a snowstorm behind the window, something i havent noticed in anoy other similar b-movie. meanwhile the guard cranks up the heat in the hnagar to stay warm and the alien melts out of his ice prison. As soon as he stnads up the guard shoots him, no questions asked. the monster goes outside and kills dogs, or we rather see dogs killing him. btu he escapes once again after killing two dogs and loosing a hand.
They take the arm back and analize it, theres no animal tissue or blood in the arm. no arteries or nerves either. its a vegetable lifeform. The local scientist wats to talk with it and as he is talking about it the hand starts to move.
The guys go to try to take him down, once again the "Destroy what you dont understand" is in action. They find a dead dog in groceries garden and they think the alien will return. thow whole station is full of rooms with at least 2 doors i each. why they have that in there who knows. they finally detect the monster that is attacking them and manadges to trpa him in. from the hand the scientist mandages to "grow" some wierd flowers, making blood the main food. there seems to be some small things inside that are moving but we cant see. they can hear its pulse though. thet burn and shoot the plant monster in order to kill it but it escapes int othe snowstorm. the alien cuts out their oil pipe and turns off the heater. so they rush to make a plan to fry him with electricity. theyset extensinve network doing it and lure th monster it and bam, they fry it.
They sit down and have a nice chat about life then report to the general. the news guy makes a report home in all the gossip glory.
