Drive in Sci-Fi: Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Woman (1968)

First, we get a lecture about the american plans of moon landing. This movie was built 4 years before the actual landing, and to consider how close they get to showing the actual modules is amazing. Back then it was all spies and secrets.
Then suddenly we get to see a bunch of seaviews claiming it is planet Venus. Apparently some spaceman tells a a story about it to us. The first spaceship sent there, 1998 was lost. 6 months later they send a second rocket, you know, just because they can. The crew is two men and a robot. the men look like some creepy rapists though, not as spacemen. It becomes confusing which expedition is first adn which is second so ill start assuming. First expedition lands, shoots some local creatures and walks on some docks. they also find a robot that somehow got lost. The second team lands and leaves the ship as well. as they walk about one member is attacked by some strange octopus plant. they save the team member from it rather easily.
some scenes look exactly like they were from a few other movies where robot comes out on spaceship. I think they borrowed them from other films, it wasn't unusual back then. Infact the whole movie look like a voiceover of another movie. In fact it looks like a canibalized version of Voyage to the prehistoric planet except that there are some women thrown in that supposed to be locals. I dont think there is much to say mroe about this movie other than the changes are basically a bunch of women praying to some reptile creature and since the astronauts killed him, well, they bury him. Then they go on revenge trip to attack the poor spacemen. However their attack seems to be walking in curcles with eyes closed around a pile of rocks. And then they make a volcano erupt, as if that was the reason it went up. in the original version it just causes them a trouble on its own. They escape the usual way - via the robots help. But the attack of the bitches doesnt end here. they decide to flood them then. However they fly off the planet by then and remain safe.


Story: 3/10. It was ruined by the changes completely.
Acting: 1/10. Bad acting made even worse by the added actors.
Sound: 2/10. no better.
Sci factor: 4/10. This being the star of the original movie got completely ruined by this recut of the material.
Lasting Appeal: 0/10. how can i unwatch this?
Overall rating: 2/10.
