Drive-In Sci-Fi: Monster Of Piedras Blancas (1959)

Pepople get murdered in Lover's beach and thew townfolk already know it was Monster of Piedras Blancas. but police detective does not believe it. typical as always. Police treaten townies on anti-riot laws but they dont give up.
When there is danger around we keep getting the sound that i guess is suppsoed to be music but sounds like a train passing by.
As they burry the first victim they find out the shopkeeper is dead too, however the holy father is persistent and forces everyone to continue praying for the first victim. we dont actually see the monster for a very long time, though i am guessing it is not becuase of suspense they are trying to build but rather the lack of budget on the monster part. And then we see a guy in a rubber suit walking out with a head in his hand. that was unexpected.
So they make a search party for it and find a huge print. wait arent you supposed to find the feet and then go search for the monster? well they find the head he carried out being eaten by a crab. Eventually with help of science and the lightkeeper in lighthouse they figure out that this creature is inteligent, can smell well and is pretty deaf. so they decide to reason with it. Yes, lets reason with a moster that eats people.... On the way to shop the scientist manadges to call his girlfriend with 3 didgit number and she wont answer. then we see king kong carrying her out. oh way king kong? no that was the monster hej ust looked like a giant ape. infact when challenged he even actsl ike an ape, what happened to the underwater monster? did they switch bodies all of the sudden? them osnter gets sot and thne decides to dance on stairs isntead of chasing the guy. Once the mosnter makes it up the stairs he screems like a little girl? a movie that started fine now suddenly turns into this. then he climbs up the lighthouse to the top and kills the lightkeeper. are you sure were not watching king kong?

Story: 4/10. They tried biulding one. but at the end it turned into a wierdness festival.
Acting: 2/10. Very bad even for this type of movie.
Sound: 1/10. Terrible music, terrible sound effects, terrible voices and terrible editors choices.
Sci factor: 3/10. well they trie to explain the supposedly water creature origins (though we never see creature in water in the movie) but thats about all there is.
Lasting Appeal: 4/10. A monster that turns into kingk kong and scsreems like a little girl? not your typical forget next day movie.
Overall rating: 3/10.
