Drive-in Sci-Fi: Slime People (1963) Slimepeople-poster

Right from the begining we se monsters walking out of metro and other underground places in Los Ageles. the city is deserted, people killed and the monsters rule the place now.
A lone polot lands in Los Angeles beucase of extensive smoke. hs voice seems to come from behind you when though hes in fornt of camera. He soon finds out the city is deserted and he attempts to call control tower. the survivors try to tell him what is happening but the guy seems to care more about his place being checked in. they tell him slime people surruonded city and built a wall out of their bodies but thats about all they know. oh and that army failed to fight them. appernetly survivors never saw the slime people either, but they find a lot of destroyed hosues and dead women. wait, i fugured it out, the sound only comes though 1 channel, thats why the voices are behind me. all other channels are fileld with sort of white noise. cant mure them either, some sound effects are pushed though those. the sound is a mess. Apperently before leaving army left a movie about the slime people. sort of news documentary. yes, because they expeted there to be survivors that will watch it right? Its funny how they manadge to get "Stuck inside fog". eventually the evacuate whole city. eventually they meet the slime person walking out of sewers and run away. mainly because well the slime person dont realyl chase them. they find another survivor who already has weapon. thats a lucky break. some drunk people in projection room gets killed by the slime-man. it seems that everywhere the slimepeople go theres tons of fog. this movie was known for extreme usage of fog, but sometimes it gets so bad you hardly see the actor.
So the scientist, who is one of the survivalists, gives them a list of things they have to get in order to attempt to breake though the fog wall. hum didnt the place got though before, cant they go back with a plane too, they have a pilot you know. thep ilot however instead attempts to seduce the daughter of the scientists, and he suceeds just by offering to make coffe. gosh some girls were easy going back then. they encouter a writer who doesnt believe in slime peopel but instead carries a goat around as his friend. they trick him into coming with him by lieing to him. when they reach the wall instead of trying to break it they jut stand there and talk. They attempt to breake a wall then with some silicone and potasium... scientist sohuld know that you cant destroy pile of dirt with silicone.
The mad write is really mad and it is rather fun to watch him. eventually the subterranean catches up and attempt to kill them and the writer panics himself. thne they suddenly run out of gas near a butchers shop. how convienient, its too cold inside for slime people to come by. the scientist figures out salt can break the wall beuase thep ane got though near water. thats some discovery, even military couldnt figure out to sed a sub in. then slime people takes one of their woman, so they decide to rescue her regardless of the fact that there is a bunch of them nearby. apperently slime people kow to aim for the tire too once they decide to make a drive for it.
After a very lnog stroll they find a cave that they think is their main lair. eventualyl they find her just sitting there doing nothing and crying. she didnt try to run away or anything. thne the slime people attack, but they beat the crap out of them with rocks. and the stab him. during the last few minutes movie starts to get a bit better. then they stroll back home and no monster chase them. but isntead they find the fog-wall making machine.
we finally hear slime people make noices. and it sounds like somoen is aknig air bubles underwater. then the guys beat a whole bunch of slime monsters trying to get to machine and disable it. those poor slimeys are not used to enemy that fights back. how did the military failed to beat them i dont know. even two simple guys can beat the crap out of a bunch of them and find the machine, and your telling me military couldnt figure it out in the period of couple days? they spear the machine and it explodes. the sun starts to set in and slime people begin to die because of temperature. we see like 50 of then dieing one by one and then the movie ends. military instnatly shows up at right the spot they wre in by the way.

Story: 6/10. for 60s survival movie, it was pretty good.
Acting: 7/10. Surprisingly good.
Sound: 3/10. Well i liked the monster sounds and sound itself wasnt that bad but the channel confusion and noise was a big minus.
Sci factor: 3/10. not much of it but they tried some explanations and the monster being immue to bullets were wlel explained.
Lasting Appeal: 5/10. ill remmeber this one, hey mosnters made of slime that use a fog to breathe.
Overall rating: 5/10.
