Drive in Sci-Fi: Invasion Of The Star Creatures (1963)

We get some propaganda about atomic weapons enabling americans to make peace. Then the local soldiers are "blasting off" with garden hose they cant control. I hope they intentionally did this comedical, because it definitely look that way. In fact it looks like a very bad Abbott and Costello wannabes.
Thier general is no better. with speeches like "all i like is a brief briefing". He gives 5 men, two of which are our comical guys, a secret mission. They are to investigate the crater after the nuclear blast testing. The 5 man squald suddenly turn into 6 man squad when they actually go to investigate the place. they reach a cave in the crater, that doesn't look like a crater to begin with. 4 go in, the two "comical" ones are left outside to guard.... the cave. during that time they make themselves a picknick. The men in the cave find a humanoid creature - dead. they thing its an alien. on their way back they meet another creature, alive one. it runs them out of the cave and kills them, during which time the two guys sleep....
They get kidnapped by those humanoids and two women who claim to be a scientists from a planet long time ago. The creatures try to extract the knowledge in the scientists and first one is blank, while another one imagines himself superhero. We also find out that the humanoid creatures are plant slaves. the scientists show them around but then locks them up. They manage to escape, but the plans follow them. they use rocks to fend off, but the plants are stronger than that. They go to general, get some space fanboys creed and get him to help them. some "space comander connor". they get some indians to hlep them too and try to get back to the cave to stop the space women. this is getting so ridiculous.....
The generalls nickname is "thomas awall". They return and set the spaceship off into a place it can never return from. and the space girls start quarrelling. they end up prisoners, and then lovers.

Story: 7/10. its so ridiculous and it knows it. i love it.
Acting: 5/10. above the average.
Sound: 1/10. very bad editing.
Sci factor: 4/10. no science. none needed.
Lasting Appeal: 10/10. this is a real fun.
