Marx Brothers: Duck Soup (1933)

This is the only movie currently on IMDBs top 250 list from Marx Brothers, though i woudl easily put Animal Crackers there as well.
All movie consists of ducks wiming in soup. ok ok im joking its only first 3 minutes. Apperently queen of "Freedonia" (a make up country) lends money to "Freedonia" on condition that Rufus T. Firefly becomes the leader of country. And Rufus as usual is Groucho. Instantly we find out about revolution plot to take over Freedonia too. Not even 5 minutes in and we get a BAD singing sequence. its one of Those movies. At least this time it is put inside thep lot as greeting for new leader, so its not just a random singing scene. and then Rufus makes fun of the first lady of Freedonia and his diciples, for no apperent reason. then he once agian bursts into singing. two songs in 10 minutes, are we watching a concert or a movie?
It is unusual to not see other brothers in before long and this movie takes whole quarter of an hour to show the other three. one is a chairman and other two are spies on the tail of firefly. Chico and Harpo seems to do a great work in "Reporting" thier spy business. Now i start to see why it got so high up the imdbs list.
Chico and Harpo really shines in this movie. thier Hat gag is great and this movie is full of it.
Eventually a war breakes out between Freedonia and Silvenia when Groucho insults their leader. Freedonia is obviuosly loosing the war with Rufus leading. especially with encouragement like "your fighting for this womans honor, thats probably mroe than she ever did". there also seems to be some sort of flying wheels for ammunition. you know thos old wooden wheels from carriadges, thats the one. by luck they capture enemy leader and he surrenders the whole war, which was not expected to say the least. if it werent for the 3 songs in the movie it would have been great, though it was those that made it imperfect. otherwise the movie was just a great huge laugh.
