If you're using Firefox:
- right-click on the image
- select "view image"
- the image will open into a browser tab of its own and the address bar will have an image extension added to it (.jpg, .png, .gif, etc)
- copy that whole address and post it using the [img] code
- lol
- lol some more
- hug a monster
Be careful though, the lolcat websites are safe, but some private sites really don't like when you do this because it uses their bandwidth without giving them the view-hits for the picture. It's called "hot-linking" and if an image is hot-linked too much, some sites will change it to something else and you might not know because of your browser cookies.
So you will still see the kitteh, but everyone else will see the new image which could be anything from a simple warning that they don't allow hot-linking, to a high-def photo of Goatsee (((FOR THE LOVE OF SANITY, DO NOT GOOGLE THAT WORD IF YOU DO NOT ALREADY KNOW WHAT IT IS. Just trust me it's bad.)))
Now that I've told you everything I know about posting images, you must choose to continue your adventures or leave the world with no lols. There is only one more thing I can do for you...
